Adam and I went to Lake Chelan for a weekend getaway. We stayed with my parents and all had a nice time together. We went out on the boat, played soccer tennis, and ate some good food. The weather was awesome, and we had a great time!

We checked out of our hotel around Noon and headed back to Manila. We bbq'd some steaks and played some scrabble again with Adam's neighbor. The kids were out and about, and looking for some play with big, strong white guys. They are pretty darn cute.

Day two we spent a little time at the beach, and at night we enjoyed some bar-type activities: billiards, ping pong, and darts. As it was Sunday night, we had the place to ourselves. The night before, we sang karaoke but no one brought a camera. Karaoke in the Philippines is interesting.

We drove a few hours to a municipality called Batangas, which is a pretty popular beach getaway for the locals. We found an area called Matabungkay, where we decided to get a room and spend the weekend. The rooms left quite a bit to be desired, but the lobby and grounds were pretty nice, which you can see from the pics.

Here are some photos of us just hangin out...inside Adam's place, and outside playing darts and scrabble. I am also enjoying a local beer - Red Horse. In addition to basketball (which is the #1 sport), the kids and adults alike enjoy playing darts. Good thing I'm so dominant at both sports!

After a good first day in Makati City, I decided to go out and take some pictures of Adam's neighborhood. It is a hot, sunny day. You will see Adam's apartment building, local market, basketball court, and neighbors.

I decided to take some photos of True North Service's new office space to share with Adam. I will move in tomorrow when my new desk arrives.

Tonight was our going away party for Adam. We had dinner at the Spaghetti Factory and then cruised up to Seattle's Best Karaoke to sing a few songs. It was a blast!
